SERVICES:

ENROLLMENT IN EXAMS

Pre-Registration

The pre-registration of an exam candidate can be carried out in person, by email, telephone or through the respective form on our website.
At this stage, you will only be asked for your contacts and indication of the desired exam and date (based on the Exam Calendar published on our website).

A pre-registration is not binding but is a clear indication of real interest in taking an exam.

Your cancellation must be communicated to us as soon as possible.
The candidate will be informed if, and when, the intended exam will open enrollment. Otherwise you will be informed of alternative exam sessions.

Enrollment Completion

It will only be possible to complete an enrollment for exam dates selected and confirmed by the English Exam Centre, based on the aggregation of the minimum number of pre-enrolled candidates required for this purpose.

This means that enrollment is not automatically guaranteed or completed with the candidate's pre-registration through the Site.

Information required for registration

After receiving confirmation of the desired session, the Candidate must provide (by phone, email or in person) to the English Exam Center the following personal data: name to appear on the Certificate, date of birth, address for eventual sending of the Certificate, personal and tax identification number and respective email and telephone contacts.

Accepted Identification Documents

Candidates who take the Cambridge University Press & Assessment exam for emigration purposes must present their Passport as an identification document and inform our Center of this objective at the time of registration.
The remaining candidates will be able to use the Citizen's Card or Driver's License.
Candidates of school age may also use the Student Card, as long as it presents a photographic identification.
Candidates who do not have one of these forms of identification should contact our Center.
The document used in the registration must imperatively be presented on the day of the exam (with a valid date).
Candidates who lose their document in the days before the exam should contact our Center immediately.

Special Needs/Requirements (Special Consideration)

Candidates with special needs (locomotion, vision or otherwise) must inform the English Exam Center of these circumstances in good time and attach a clear and concise medical certificate to the registration form which will be sent to Cambridge University Press & Assessment for consideration.
All Cambridge University Press & Assessment exams are available in formats adapted to candidates with hearing or vision difficulties. Other formats may still be requested, however it is recommended to do so as far in advance as possible.
In the case of computer-based exams, upon prior request, some changes are possible for the candidate's convenience, such as: selecting the side on which the mouse is to be operated, increasing the font size, etc.

Payment

Payment for the exam must be completed before the closing date for registration, but only after confirmation of the session by the English Exam Centre.

Payment can be made in person or by bank transfer through the NIB that the candidate will receive by email. If payment is made via bank transfer, the candidate must send us a proof of transfer.

Prices

The P.V.P. of each exam is declared on our website.
Prices must be understood in Euros, with fees and taxes included, taking into account the VAT in force on the date of completion of registration.
If last minute registrations are allowed, a late registration fee of €55 will apply.
The English Exam Center reserves the right to modify prices whenever it sees fit.

Enrollment Confirmation

The registration will only be completed after proof of payment and submission of the necessary personal data previously indicated. The English Exam Center will then send the candidate an email with the registration confirmation, which will become official when the candidate receives the Confirmation of Entry, a document sent directly by Cambridge University Press & Assessment to the email address provided at the time of registration.
It is the candidate's duty to inform the English Exam Center of any errors observed in the personal data appearing on the Confirmation of Entry.

Refund

You may request a refund of part of your registration fee, for medical reasons or serious circumstances (eg death of a family member), provided you send your request to the English Exam Center together with the respective proof of the impeding circumstance, such as a medical certificate showing the health reasons that prevented the candidate from taking the exam. This application must be submitted no later than one week after the exam date and will subsequently be sent for consideration by Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Refunds will only be given upon delivery of the respective proof of registration payment.

Exam Location and Time

Detailed locations and times for each exam will be posted in the Confirmation of Entry, as well as any necessary materials.

Required Documentation

On the day of the exam, the candidate must bring with him the identification document used in the registration act (with a valid date), his printed Confirmation of Entry and the authorization form for the Test Day Photo (which will be sent to him after the registration) completed (and in the case of minors, with due parental consent).

Publication of Results

The candidate (and everyone to whom he provides his access code) will be able to access the results of his exam on the scheduled date for its publication, as stated in his Confirmation of Entry. This date is an estimate and not contractually binding. Cambridge University Press & Assessment's 'results when ready' system makes it possible, in some cases, to make results available online before this period (about 2 weeks later for computer-based exams and 6 to 9 for paper based exams).
Results will only be communicated through the Declaration of Results (Statement of Results), with no certifying value, and by the Certificate itself.

Certified Statement of Results

If the candidate needs a Certifying Statement of Results, which will be issued approximately 15 days after payment, he can request it directly through the form on the Cambridge University Press & Assessment website: http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/help/lost-certificates/.
This Declaration is similar to the Certificate and has official value, being accepted by Universities and Other Institutions. Although it is not the Certificate, it has the advantage of being able to reach the candidate who needs it a few weeks earlier. You can find out about your issuance costs and postage via the link above.

Certificate Issue

The certificate is issued by Cambridge University Press & Assessment and sent to the English Exam Centre. They are issued to candidates who have achieved a certifiable score approximately 8 to 11 weeks after the exam for written exams and 4 to 6 weeks for Computer Based exams.

Resource

Candidates can appeal the decision not to issue their result through an appeal procedure. Information about this procedure can be found on the Cambridge University Press & Assessment website: http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/help/enquiries-and-appeals/

Certificate Issuance

As soon as the Certificate reaches us, the candidate is asked (via email) to indicate how he prefers to receive it: pick it up in person or receive it via CTT by registered mail. Shipping costs (for addresses in mainland Portugal) are included in the registration fee.

Intellectual Property

The physical and intellectual property of all exam documentation is owned by Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Access to exam documentation will not be provided.

IP Geolocation

Our website uses the IP2Location LITE database for IP geolocation.
