Cambridge English: Results Sharing & Certificate Guide - English Exam Centre

Results and Certificates

If you need to share your results with an organisation, you also use the Online Results Service. All you need to do is log in, click on the share button, select the organisation you want to send it to, and click on send my result.

If the organisation you need isn’t listed, contact them to see how they would like to verify your result. Organisations can use a verification portal which you can send an invitation for.

Understanding your results

All results are reported according to the CEFR - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and the Cambridge English Scale, which is aligned to the CEFR. This allows for:

  • Detailed results – you will receive a mark for each part of the exam (Reading & Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking). You will also receive an overall grade according to the Cambridge English Scale and the CEFR
  • Simple, objective, and consistent – the results for all exams will be reported on the same scale. This makes it easier to interpret.
  • Clear reading of performance – the comparative alignment of exams with the CEFR, IELTS, and one exam with the other is clear. The results presented on the scale also give a clearer indication of the candidate's progress from one exam to the next.

You can download a brief explanation of the scale or a more in-depth document that focuses on a detailed analysis of FCE, CAE and CPE, the parts of the exams, the methodology behind the assessment and examples of results. You can also view the guidance sheet for converting Practice Tests to the Cambridge English Scale.

Certificates

Certificates will arrive at our centre about two weeks after results have been released. We will let you know once they have arrived, and you can choose how you would like to receive yours – registered mail (CTT), or pick-up.

If you provide an address outside Portugal, shipping will incur an extra €10 fee. Please refer to our terms and conditions for detailed information.

This is a document you will receive about 10 days before your exam. It will show your timetable for the day, important information and your ID and Secret Number to register on the Online Results Service.
